Meet Eugene Cheung

張嘉濼 Eugene Cheung，2012年參加新時代電視舉辦的大型歌唱比賽「新秀歌唱大賽」多倫多選拔賽後正式出道成為歌手及電視節目主持，曾多次在各大型舞台表演，亦曾與不同海外歌手藝人同台演出，現主力發展多倫多本地音樂事業，而在2022年和2023年度的旺市國際音樂節 Vaughan International Music Festival， Eugene 更是成為唯一表演的華人歌手，深受中西觀眾喜愛。
Eugene participated in the widely known singing competition, "New Talent Singing Competition," in 2012, which was held by Fairchild TV. At the Toronto audition, he officially debuted as a singer and TV host. Eugene has performed on various large-scale stages many times and has also performed with different singers and artists from overseas. Now, he focuses on developing the local music scene in Toronto. In the 2022 and 2023 Vaughan International Music Festivals, Eugene was the only Chinese singer to perform. With that being said, he not only sang Chinese music from his cultural background, but he also performed some classic Western songs and was deeply loved by Chinese and Western audience members alike.
除了在舞台及音樂節演唱表演外，Eugene亦會參與大型音樂活動幕後監制工作，更希望透過不同渠道，幫助本地年輕華人歌手，提供更多舞台演出機會。Eugene於2023年3月份在City Playhouse Theatre 首次舉辦了兩場個人演唱會，取得空前成功 。由於反應熱烈，Eugene決定於2024年再次於City Playhouse Theatre舉辦第二次個人演唱會，希望透過這次演唱會，繼續用音樂與觀眾分享一個開心又充滿回憶的晚上，希望大家更加關注本地華人表演者，讓更多有才華的年輕音樂人能夠在這裡繼續追尋夢想，一展所長，讓世界各地都可以看到我們加拿大也可以有優秀的華人歌手和表演者。
Eugene held his first solo concert at the City Playhouse Theatre in March 2023 with unprecedented success. Due to the overwhelming response and feedback, Eugene decided to make a comeback in 2024 to hold his second solo concert again at the City Playhouse Theatre. He hopes that through this concert, the audience will once again have an enjoyable experience and an unforgettable night. Using himself as an example, Eugene hopes more and more people will pay further attention to local Chinese performers, and also encourage young musicians to continue and pursue their dreams with their talents and strengths. Hopefully, this concert will let people all over the world see that there are also excellent Chinese singers and performers here in Canada.
